The Bakersfield Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 125 received its charter and was instituted in 1893 and is the Oldest Chapter in Kern County. They carry on many of the early traditions today. One of the most significant traditions is that of being that the women officers wear white gowns in chapter meetings.

Members of the Order Of the Eastern Star are always welcome to chapter meetings which are held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month except holidays and the Months of July and August.

The Chapter meetings are held at the Masonic Temple located at 1920 Eighteenth Street in Bakersfield.
